Croxdale Group kicks off 2025 with a bang, welcoming Jeep and Alfa Romeo to Durham

Croxdale Group Durham has added two iconic brands to its extensive showroom, as the growth and expansion of the firm, which recently invested £500,000 in its after sales service and repair centre, continues.

Croxdale Group Durham, on the A167, will now offer Jeep and Alfa Romeo, in addition to brands like Citroën, MG, DS Automobiles and the recently launched Leapmotor.

This exciting development marks a new chapter for the business, with the potential to reach new audiences interested in the luxury car market.

Introducing Jeep also marks a return to familiar territory for managing director Anthony Rockingham, who previously operated three Jeep dealerships.

“The year 2025 is becoming a landmark year for Croxdale Group as it welcomes both Alfa Romeo and Jeep,” he says.

“The introduction of Jeep and Alfa Romeo to our Durham dealership is an incredible honour and reflects our dedication to offering the very best to our customers.

“Alfa Romeo’s legacy of passion and performance, combined with Jeep’s adventurous spirit, perfectly aligns with our vision for the future of Croxdale Group.

“We’re thrilled to bring these exceptional brands to our existing customers, as well as attracting new motorists with an interest in these iconic brands.”

Anthony recognises the rich automotive heritage that both Alfa Romeo and Jeep bring to customers old and new and says: “We’re looking forward to an exciting journey ahead.”

Speaking specifically about Jeep, he adds this is a brand that resonates with adventure, resilience, and innovation, values that align perfectly with what Croxdale Group strives to deliver.

“Having previously managed three Jeep dealerships, I’ve seen firsthand the passion and loyalty that Jeep inspires in its owners,” he says.

“It’s an honour to bring this brand to Durham and offer our customers vehicles that are as versatile as they are legendary, and on a personal note, I’m thrilled to once again represent this iconic marque.”

Founded in Milan in 1910, Alfa Romeo has built a reputation for creating vehicles that combine Italian design, cutting-edge engineering, and a passion for performance.

From early racing success in the 1920s and 1930s to modern innovations like the Giulia Quadrifoglio and the Stelvio SUV, Alfa Romeo is synonymous with driving pleasure and automotive artistry.

With its heritage deeply rooted in motorsport and a commitment to blending tradition with innovation, Alfa Romeo continues to captivate enthusiasts worldwide.

The brand’s arrival at Croxdale Group Durham marks a significant opportunity for drivers in the North East to experience the unmistakable allure of Alfa Romeo firsthand.

Graham Elliott, Croxdale’s general sales manager, said: “Alfa Romeo has a unique ability to blend motorsport heritage with everyday elegance.

“This is a brand that appeals to drivers who appreciate sophisticated design and exhilarating performance, and we’re excited to introduce it to our customers.

“Those who value craftsmanship, individuality, and the thrill of driving, will find vehicles to meet their distinctive tastes in Alfa Romeo and we’re looking forward to helping these drivers find their perfect match within an exceptional lineup.”

Founded in the early 1940s, Jeep’s journey began with the development of the Willys MB, a robust and versatile vehicle designed for the U.S. Army during World War II. Known as the “workhorse of World War II,” the Willys MB became an enduring symbol of reliability and ingenuity.

After the war, Jeep transitioned from military utility to civilian life, launching the CJ (Civilian Jeep) series in 1945.

This series set the stage for Jeep’s future as a leader in off-road capability and rugged design.

Over the decades, Jeep has evolved its lineup to include a range of vehicles, from the legendary Wrangler to the family-friendly Grand Cherokee, all while staying true to its roots of durability and adventure.

Anthony, Graham and his team are rightly proud of the firm’s expansion and Durham, which is a testament to Croxdale Group’s success and ambition.

The simultaneous launches of Jeep and Alfa Romeo herald an exciting new future for the dealership and highlight its commitment to serving the region with an unmatched portfolio of automotive excellence.

“Added to the recent launch of Leap, the introduction of these iconic brands marks a significant step in our journey of expansion,” says Graham.

“We’re excited to welcome a new wave of Jeep and Alfa Romeo enthusiasts and provide them with the outstanding service they deserve.”
