A fast-growing commercial law firm, which recently celebrated hitting £1.6m turnover, has announced plans to double in size over the next twelve months.
After an incredibly successful year in 2018, St James’ Square Law Firm celebrated 2 years in business last month.
The firm has had a meteoric rise to success. It outperformed 2017 in the first quarter of 2018 and went on to treble turnover from the previous year.
It also moved premises last July to 7,000 square feet of premium office space in Esh Plaza, Newcastle Great Park, to accommodate its expanding team.
St James’ Square is now embarking on a phenomenal rate of growth in 2019 as it focuses on doubling its client base, turnover and team.
Paul Monaghan, managing partner of St James’ Square said: “Last year the firm went from strength to strength. We started the year with 12 employees, ended with 28 and moved to bigger premises.
“Demand for our services has been strong and continues to increase. Currently we are establishing three new departments Corporate Services, Employment & HR and Debt Recovery – to ensure we can serve marketplace need.”
Partner, Andrew Carser added: “We never thought that we would have the scale of growth and success that we’re currently enjoying so early on in our firm’s history. Our growth is testament to the hard work and dedication of all of our employees who always go the extra mile and the continued support of our evergrowing client-base. We’re delighted to be employing more people and further enhancing the service that we offer our clients.”
St James’ Square has been born out of sheer determination and ambition. The firm’s performance puts it on a par with many of the major law firms in the North East. It is a fantastic achievement for any organisation but is particularly remarkable given that the firm is still at such a young age.
The growth and success is a result of careful strategic planning before the firm was launched. Experience, technology and knowledge of the marketplace were taken into consideration to ensure that St James’ Square would reflect the very best for its staff and clients and to make sure it was a modern forward-thinking law firm in every sense of the words.
St James’ Square is a client-centred business where staff not only put the clients first, but they take time to really understand the situation from their perspective. The firm works with SMEs, owner-managed businesses, high net worth individuals, PLCs and an array of successful companies.
State-of-the-art technology has played a major part in the firm’s desire to deliver excellence in legal services. From the outset, all processes were streamlined into one integrated system that is accessible from any device. Clients receive a Rolls Royce service at a fraction of the price as the efficiencies gained mean that the firm can deliver more cost-effective, more efficient and more accurate services for customers.
But it’s not just technology that can be attributed for this success. The staff at St James’ Square are fundamental in its ongoing success and achievements. All employees of the firm are selected very carefully. “Not only do we recruit high performers, we also look beyond job titles and employ good, decent human beings,” says Paul. “This business is about building a family, and everybody shares that spirit.”
