Some of the region's most entertaining musical acts have been lined up for this year's Northumberland Live Festival at Blyth on Sat 23rd June.
The organisers of the festival have already secured three bands from the region who are guaranteed to entertain the crowds. These are STAN the band, The Baldy Holly Band and Edenthorn.
STAN the band have recently won a national competition at the Great British Rock and Blues Festival. STAN comprises of accomplished vocalist Colin Burrows, bass player Rob Tickell, ex 21 Strangers guitarist Dave Kennedy and drummer Dave Pipkin.
Another North East established act confirmed to play are The Baldy Holly Band. Bringing a taste of the 1950’s to Blyth, the band will be covering great rock and roll songs including those by Elvis Presley, Ritchie Valens and of course Buddy Holly.
Barnard Castle band Edenthorn complete the line-up of bands announced so far. Formed in 2013 and made up of two sets of siblings, the band have created their own unique rock sound.
Having built up a deserved reputation as a great family day out, there will be something for everyone at the festival with superb street theatre, a fun fair, wonderful food concessions and of course, great music.
