youngsRPS, a property consultancy firm working across the rural, residential, commercial and development sectors in Northern England and Yorkshire, has appointed seven Associate Directors, marking a significant and strategic investment in the long-term future of the business.
The appointments recognise leadership and expertise from across the firm, with promotions spanning different professional disciplines, geographical areas and business functions – including both fee-earning and operational roles. This approach reflects the firm’s belief that its success is driven by collaboration across the whole organisation.
The following team members have been promoted to Associate Director:
Emma Smith, Rural Chartered Surveyor – Sedgefield
Emma Todd, Head of Marketing
Helen Johnston, Rural Chartered Surveyor – Hexham and Scotland
Justin Coan, Rural Chartered Surveyor – Hexham
Katie Proctor, Rural Chartered Surveyor – Hexham Mart
Kirsty Meek, Rural Chartered Surveyor – Hexham
William Thornton, Head of Residential – Hexham
By promoting from within and across diverse sectors and regions, youngsRPS is reinforcing a leadership structure that reflects how the business operates today, while positioning it strongly for the future.
The promotions follow senior leadership appointments made in 2025, when Harry Morshead and Tom Whitehead were appointed as Directors and Joanne Metcalfe and Paul Fairlamb were appointed to the Board.
Together, these steps form part of a clear and considered approach to leadership continuity, ensuring experience is retained while the next generation of leaders is developed from within the business.
Graeme Bruce, Managing Director said: “These promotions represent an important investment in the future leadership of the firm. By recognising talent from across different teams and locations, we are strengthening the business with individuals who understand our clients, our culture and the direction we are taking.
The firm is committed to developing people from within and to creating clear progression opportunities for those who contribute to performance, culture and long-term growth; not solely through fee-earning roles, but through leadership and impact across the business.”
The business has been operating for over 140 years and has a strong presence across Northern England, North Yorkshire and Scotland. youngsRPS continues to take a thoughtful, future-focused approach to leadership development and succession planning.
