Delivering On Our Commitment To Employ Local People On Wearside

Falcon Fox Construction is delivering on its commitment to hire local people as a direct result of winning two major contracts in Sunderland.

David Reagan, from Seaham, is site manager on Nile+Villiers, a key part of Sunderland City Council’s Sunniside Place Strategy – a ten-year plan to bring new life, activity and investment to the area. Nile + Villiers is a residential-led development project with 75 homes and 575 sqm of commercial space along High Street West. The aim is to contribute to the growth of Sunniside as a living and working neighbourhood within the city centre, offering high-quality homes.

Robyn Wright, from Grangetown, is site coordinator at Nile+Villiers and at the Vaux Housing scheme – part of Riverside Sunderland – for which Falcon Fox has also been appointed in a construction management role for phase 2 of the project. Vaux Housing, is a flagship scheme at the heart of the city centre which will deliver 93 sustainable homes.

Riverside Sunderland is rapidly becoming a vibrant business and residential neighbourhood, the Vaux Housing scheme will offer panoramic views over the River Wear, as well as access to Riverside Park and shared spaces.
