Constructing Excellence in the North East has announced it will be hosting Smart Construction 2024, on 22 October.
Led by its Innovation Group, the conference and exhibition will raise awareness of best practice of innovation in products, processes and digital tools within the region and nationally.
It will take place at the Catalyst Building, in partnership with Newcastle University. Sir Robert McAlpine is headline sponsor with Castle and Applebridge providing additional support.
The Innovation Group, consists of representatives from Sir Robert McAlpine, Applebridge, Northumbria University, GSS Architecture, NavVis, Castle and Northumbrian Water Group.
The group brings together organisations to promote, showcase and support the development and implementation of innovative ways of working across the North East construction sector.
It focuses on three key areas, digital technology, sustainable construction and modern methods of construction.
The sector theme groups, which also includes Climate Action, People and Value, are designed to showcase good practice across the region and beyond. By harnessing the wealth of knowledge and experience of its industry members and partners, the group’s identify opportunities for the region’s development, building on existing good practice to deliver a more productive sector, delivering long term value and sustainability for society.
