National business technology provider CMYK continue to build solid foundations across our region and prepare for further growth.

The Newcastle arm of National business technology supplier and managed IT services provider CMYK, headed by regional directors Craig Pratt and Sarah Wharrier pictured on this month’s front cover caught up with Northern Insight to discuss their future plans and successes.

September always signifies a major milestone in the calendar year for Sarah and Craig, as this month marks the anniversary the duo made the decision to join forces with CMYK to establish the business’s North East base to help support the surge in tech demand across the region. Almost three years on and the pair have established a solid foot holding across the North East, and continue to support and secure new opportunities with many of the region’s leading firms.

Craig commented; “Since the inception of CMYK Newcastle back in December 2020 we’ve featured in Northern Insight, and it’s been a pleasure to continue to share our journey. We are delighted to return this September as the front cover story, especially being pictured in front of the oldest surviving building in Newcastle whilst we continue to forge our own foundations across the region.”

Craig added; “September will always signify a pivotal moment in our careers, we always seem to take a moment or two to reflect on our journey. I’m thrilled with our progress to date, our growth has been unprecedented and what we’ve been able to achieve in a short space of time is testament to the fantastic team at CMYK. It goes without saying It’s been extremely hard work and continues to be, but it’s been equally as rewarding at the same time. Seeing the team grow and scale to meet future planned projects is awesome – the entire team has been fundamental to getting to where we are now and where we want to be.”

CMYK has swiftly built an exceptional reputation across the region for its technical expertise, support offering and clientcentric approach. The team have found a real groove when it comes to supporting the regions rapidly growing tech sector and are becoming the go-to firm for managed IT and consultancy services. CMYK’s expansion into Newcastle is still in its infancy, yet the team have secured major business opportunities with some of the regions fastest growing firms and sector leaders such as Unipres, Opencast, Serios Group, Ubisoft and most recently the most iconic building in the city, Newcastle Castle.

Sarah commented; “Since starting CMYK Newcastle in late 2020, it’s been an incredible journey. We have worked tirelessly over the last three years to grow the brand and reputation of the business in the North East region and we’re now working with some of the region’s most prominent businesses, from tech consultancies to multi-national OEMs and castles. This proves our agility to be able to look after a range of clients of different sizes across many different sectors’.

Sarah continued; “The whole team at CMYK are a breath of fresh air to work with, and the new members of the team in Newcastle add another depth to the team. Everyone in the business always goes the extra mile for our clients and we pride ourselves on our exceptional levels of service. Our company ethos has shone through in the onboarding process for our many new business wins, and we always receive positive feedback on how easy the process is. We pride ourselves on being upfront and transparent, which our clients appreciate, and this cements long term relationships.”

CMYK’s branch locations and support network spans the entire UK with locations in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Warrington, London, and Newcastle. CMYK has a strong focus on forming local partnerships, and they continue to nurture and establish relationships with leading sector groups, recently being announced as the latest Affiliate Partner of the North East Engineering and Manufacturing Network and Executive Members of the Entrepreneurs Forum. These partnerships help connect CMYK to industry networks and provides a gateway to demonstrate their expertise and service offerings.

Craig added; “We are extremely grateful to everyone who continues to support us, we set out an ambitious plan a few years back and that was to introduce an established firm to the North East business community. To implement the strategies and successes of the wider CMYK group to support our region’s booming business community, whilst reshaping the deliverance of tech support from traditional ‘norms’ and not deviating away from our key objectives, which is all centred around providing the highest levels of service, knowledge and value to our clients as their trusted IT partner.”

Craig concluded; “We are still very much at the beginning of this journey, but so far it’s been an absolute blast and we are having great fun along the way.”
