Generation for Change (G4C) North East, has announced the shortlist for its awards, supported by headline sponsor, Caddick Construction.
G4C is part of Constructing Excellence, harnessing the young professional voice and helping to drive continuous improvement in the UK built environment industry.
The event will be held at the NewcastleGateshead Hilton hotel on 26 April.
Category sponsors include AtkinsRealis, Bowmer+Kirkland, Mott McDonald Bentley, Northumbrian Water Group, Northern Counties Builders Federation. Drinks reception sponsor on the night is RED Engineering.
Shortlisted nominees for the coveted G4C Future Leader award include: Aimee Hindle – nominated and employed by Mott MacDonald Bentley Alexandra Taylor – nominated and employed by Kier, Damon Longstaff – nominated and employed by believe Housing, Josh Sayer – nominated and employed by Applebridge Family, Laura Frost – nominated and employed by Turner & Townsend, Matthew Armstrong – nominated and employed by Wates, Matthew Usher – nominated and employed by Corstorphine+Wright Architects and Olivia O’Toole – nominated and employed by Mott MacDonald.
The winner of the G4C Future Leader category will travel to London in November to represent the region in the national awards. The North East finalists have won this accolade four times in the last six years with the others being recognised as highly commended, highlighting the calibre coming from the region.
A range of organisations have also been shortlisted for their Commitment to Employee and Training Development. They include: Applebridge Family, Black+White Engineering, Bowmer+Kirkland, Lynas Engineers, Mott MacDonald Bentley, Mott MacDonald and RE:GEN Group.
Other award categories include: Apprentice of the Year, Student of the Year, Trainee of the Year, New Professional of the Year and Mentor of the Year.
