It was wonderful to return to the Sunderland Empire recently to finally get to see the unforgettable musical Jersey Boys.
The story tells the incredible story of the make up,break up, reformation and celebration of the legendary Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
Over 2 spellbinding hours a packed audience enjoyed hit after hit from one of the music worlds most acclaimed acts. Sherry, Ragdoll, Beggin’ , Can’t Tale My Eyes Off You and many more were all there in an absolutely joyous evening which brought people to their feet for a well deserved standing ovation.
Amidst a tremendous ensemble cast there were a number of stand out perfomances, including most notably Blair Gibson as the songwriting genius Bob Gaudio.
However Michael Pickering stole the show as Frankie Valli himself replete with the famous “voice from outer space.”
Beg, borrow or steal a ticket to see this show. It is an absolute sensation.
