RMT Accountants & Business Advisors has strengthened its growing presence in West Northumberland with the appointment of Beverley Affleck, who is now heading up the firm's new Hexham office and will be joining the RMT board of directors.
Beverley brings over 30 years’ professional services experience to the role, including significant involvement with agricultural firms, owner-managed businesses and start-ups across the North East.
She began her career as a trainee accountant with a firm in Lanchester before joining Rowlands Accountants, where she spent 23 years and progressed to partner.
A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, she has spent the past 15 years working closely with businesses across the Tyne Valley and wider North East, building trusted relationships and helping them navigate growth and change.
In her new role, Beverley will lead RMT’s plans to expand its client base and strengthen connections with businesses across West Northumberland.

“I’ve worked with a wide range of local businesses on all aspects of their finances and operations, with the challenges facing agricultural businesses, particularly around diversification and inheritance tax, being especially significant.
