Senior Leadership Appointed As Turnover Continues To Grow

Issue 118

North Tyneside-based, Greener Solutions Group, which has doubled its turnover year-on-year for the past three years, has announced the formation of a senior leadership team.

It includes Matthew Hetherington, technical director, James Dorward, operations manager, Alan Ross, head of Insulation, Graeme Errington, head of heating and electricals and Lewis Tomaselli administration manager.

Established in 2015, by co-founders Andrew Wilkinson and Keian Sanchez, Greener Solutions Group has evolved significantly from a surveying and compliance company in the social housing sector. It has expanded its expertise to renewables, heating and electrical, cavity wall and loft insulation and full turnkey solutions for retrofit projects. It delivers energy efficiency at pace for the UK’s retrofit sector and improves environmental credentials for clients by implementing sustainable solutions.

Operating nationally, the 35-strong team has won significant contracts in the social housing sector and, in the last four years, worked on projects to install 13,500 energy efficiency measures across more than 6,000 homes in the UK, helping to reduce the burden of heating costs and decarbonise the housing sector.

The company has a current year forecast of over £5 million which it is on target to double over the next two financial years.

Andrew Wilkinson, director, Greener Solutions Group, said: “We have very ambitious growth plans and the formation of a senior team is key to achieving our goals. We have established a clear, unified purpose for the team, selecting colleagues with complementary skills and experience, strong decision-making capabilities and proven management records.

“As we grow, we have progression paths in place for all our people, which focuses on creating a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous learning, supported by flexible work arrangements and clear opportunities for internal promotion and succession planning.”

In March, of this year, a substantial investment was made into Greener Solutions Group from the NPIF II – NEL Fund to support new multi-million-pound contracts and continued growth.

Keian Sanchez, director at Greener Solutions Group, said: “The investment we secured from the NPIF II – NEL Fund, is supporting the expansion of our services in the energy efficiency and sustainable housing sectors. It is also enabling us to increase our workforce and scale and enhance our existing service offering. The establishment of the senior leadership team is an exciting development which we are convinced will guide us to the next stage of our development.”

The company also accesses government schemes like the BUS Scheme, ECO4 Scheme and the Great British Insulation Schemes to provide energy efficiency solutions for homeowners and social housing landlords.
