Senior Leadership Team Expands As Growth Continues

Issue 118

North Tyneside-based, White Knight Maintenance, has announced the formation of its senior leadership team following a series of internal promotions.

Paul Snowdon, John Wilson, Tony McMullen and Wayne Carr have been appointed as multi-trades supervisors, holding previous positions as operatives.

They join Daniel Scope, office manager, Joanne Gunn, buying and scheduling manager and Kelly Bishop, finance manager, who are already part of the senior team.

Established in 2011, by founder Lee Bishop, White Knight Maintenance offers high-quality property maintenance, building services and compliance solutions throughout the North East of England.

With over 20 years of industry experience, its skilled team provides a full spectrum of services including heating and plumbing, fire safety, gas works, renewables, building maintenance and facilities management — all tailored to meet the needs of homeowners, housing associations, local authorities and commercial clients.

The 20-strong business has a current turnover of £1.8 million and is set for further growth as it expands its services into the renewables sector.

Lee Bishop, managing director at White Knight Maintenance, said: “Paul, John, Tony and Wayne have each been with the business for a number of years and are more than capable of stepping into senior positions.

“We have a strong track record of retaining staff and developing their careers and for younger team members, it is important they see progression paths and gain valuable knowledge from more experienced colleagues.

“Our senior team will play a key role in the development of our team and I am delighted they each accepted the positions.”

John Wilson, multi-trades, supervisor, said: “Having worked at the company for nearly three years, I can honestly say I really look forward to coming to work. Lee has cultivated a team who are, first and foremost, a really great group of people. That has resulted in White Knight Maintenance attracting and retaining a loyal workforce.

“Within the company, there are progression plans and incentives in place. I’m enjoying my new role as a supervisor acting as a conduit between the client and team. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with younger colleagues and watching their skills develop.”
