National Technology and Managed Services Provider CMYK | BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY are transforming tech challenges into triumphs
The Newcastle arm of national business technology supplier and managed IT services provider CMYK, led by regional directors Craig Pratt and Sarah Wharrier (featured on this month’s front cover), recently shared their plans and recent achievements with Northern Insight.
CMYK has rapidly established an outstanding reputation across the region for its technical prowess, support offerings and client-focused approach. The team has found particular success in supporting the region’s booming tech sector, swiftly becoming the preferred choice for managed IT, workplace tech and consultancy services. Now in its fourth year of expansion in the North East, CMYK has secured major contracts with some of the region’s fastest-growing firms and sector leaders, including Unipres, Opencast, Serios Group, Ubisoft and Tyneside Surgical Services to name a few.
Craig commented; “Since the launch of CMYK Newcastle back in December 2020, we’ve featured in Northern Insight, and it’s brilliant to grace the cover again this month and continue to share our journey. We’ve had another fantastic year, with major internal process changes and a brand-new look and website launch – reflecting our position as a leading tech provider.”
CMYK offers six core technology services: Managed IT Services, consultancy, hardware procurement, licensing and associated support, Managed Print and Integrated Scanning Services, Cloud Telecoms and Mobile; Business Connectivity, Cloud Services and Visitor & Access Management Solutions.
Over the past year, the company has focused on enhancing operational efficiencies to benefit its clients. They have obtained two additional ISO Accreditations: ISO 45001 (Health & Safety Management) and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management), bringing their total to five ISO accreditations. They have also made significant investments in a new CRM system and a cuttingedge IT service management platform.
CMYK’s network spans the entire UK, with branches in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Warrington, London, and Newcastle. The company prioritises forming local partnerships and continues to nurture relationships with leading sector groups, such as the North East Engineering and Manufacturing Network, the North East Automotive Alliance, and the Entrepreneurs Forum. These partnerships connect CMYK to industry networks and showcase their expertise and service offerings.
In April 2024, CMYK won the ‘SME of the Year’ category at the North East Automotive Alliance Awards, a significant achievement for the company.
Sarah remarked; “It’s been a busy year for us as we’ve continued to grow and have invested in improving operational efficiencies to benefit our customers. Our customer-centric approach is at the heart of everything we do at CMYK, so winning an award at the NEAA Awards was a real highlight of the year so far. This award demonstrates the fantastic job our team is doing to support our clients throughout the region and beyond.”
With a substantial increase in turnover during the last financial year and several new client onboards in the pipeline, CMYK is set to expand its team further. The company plans to recruit for marketing, sales and technical roles in the near future.
Craig added; “September always marks a crucial point in our careers, prompting us to reflect on our journey. I’m delighted with our progress to date; our growth has been remarkable again this year. What we’ve achieved in such a short time speaks volumes about the brilliant team at CMYK. It’s been incredibly hard work and continues to be, but it’s equally rewarding. Watching the team grow and adapt to meet future planned projects is fantastic – everyone has been vital in getting us to where we are now and where we aim to be.”
