Highlights PR is a successful PR agency run by Keith Newman. Uniquely, their office is a boat based on the River Tyne. Here we look at how Highlights PR have helped one of their clients.
Mark Deeks is a successful musician and musical director. He also provides musicians and bands for weddings and events with his company, Music Newcastle.
Mark asked Highlights PR to help promote the launch of his new album of neo-classical piano music written to evoke images of Northumberland’s spectacular coastline.
Each track on the Left by the Sail Road album takes on the theme of water and each track is entitled using the old Northumbrian language. Mark teamed up with renowned seascape artist, Mick Oxley from Craster, who created the album cover art which depicts a scene from Holy Island. The album contains eight new original piano solo pieces and a cover of the old ode to the sea by John Ireland, ‘Sea Fever’.
Highlights PR placed Mark on BBC local radio, in a number of newspapers, magazines, internet news sites and music specific publications.
Mark said; “Keith was really receptive and attentive when hearing about the project I needed help with. He was creative in his suggestions for who and where could provide beneficial publicity and played an active role in making them happen, which he continues to do and is much appreciated.”
