Constructing Excellence North East has reported strong membership growth throughout 2025, with more than 30 new members joining the network.

The regional construction network has welcomed a diverse group of new members ranging from nationally recognised contractors and consultants to dynamic local SMEs and education providers.

New members include Aptus Construction, GenNorth, SWH Electrical Solutions Ltd and Education Training Collective, which is a group of vibrant colleges and training providers offering high-quality educational opportunities, and Teesside University.

All have joined with a shared commitment to improving performance and driving positive change across the built environment.

Constructing Excellence North East is the regional partner to Constructing Excellence, the single organisation charged with driving the change agenda in construction, housing and regeneration.

Catriona Lingwood, chief executive of Constructing Excellence North East, said: “It is fantastic to see so many organisations recognising the value of coming together to share knowledge, drive progress and seize new opportunities in our sector.

“While the industry faces significant challenges from net zero targets to skills shortages and economic pressures, these challenges bring with them incredible opportunities for innovation, growth and collaboration. Our members are embracing this mindset and working together to find smarter, more sustainable ways to deliver projects and shape the future of the built environment.

“The fresh perspectives and expertise brought by this year’s new members will be vital as we capitalise on these opportunities and continue driving positive change across the region’s construction sector.”

Constructing Excellence North East’s growing community is already actively engaging with its industry theme groups focused on Innovation, People, Climate and Value, as well as taking part in events, workshops and working groups that support sector-wide improvement.
