Housebuilder Banks Homes has brought in local interior design experts to help create one of the show homes at its first residential site in the Tees Valley.
The County Durham-headquartered developer has chosen Yarm-based designers Cocoon & Bauer to work on the Hawthorne show home at its new Cornfields site, which sits on the southern edge of the town.
Cocoon & Bauer is working with the Banks Homes team to finalise the colour schemes, furniture, furnishings and fabrics within the four-bedroom detached property, which is one of two show homes at The Cornfields that are scheduled to open their doors Friday 28th November.
A customer experience centre has now opened at the site, with the first homes expected to be ready for buyers to move into around the end of the year.
Based on Yarm High Street, Cocoon & Bauer works across the residential, commercial and hospitality sectors, delivering bespoke property designs for private and commercial clients across the North East and beyond.
Casey Hall, interior designer at Cocoon & Bauer, says: “Our aim was to create an inspiring design flowing right through the property that allows potential homebuyers to visualise themselves living at The Cornfields and to see how they might adapt these high quality, modern homes to their own requirements.
“It’s an amazing project for us to be working on with the Banks Homes team and having it right on our doorstep makes it extra special.”
Banks Homes has started work on building up to 109 high quality family homes at The Cornfields, which will include a total of 11 different property designs that range from three to five bedrooms.
All the properties will be fitted with smart heating systems, air source heat pumps and electric vehicle car charging points, while a number of the house types will also come with underfloor heating.
Aisling Ramshaw, head of sales and marketing at Banks Homes, says: “Banks Homes creates sustainable, future-proofed homes that provide style as standard and support healthier, happier lives for the families living in them.
“Our mission is to bring together striking design, future-proof sustainability and desirable locations to create a new blueprint for contemporary living.
“The Cocoon & Bauer team has taken these principals and created a brilliant design for our Hawthorne show home at The Cornfields that accentuates everything that the property has to offer and will help to enhance the emotional connection that homebuyers make with it when they first visit.
“The Cornfields is just a ten-minute walk from the centre of the historic market town of Yarm, one of the region’s most beautiful and sought-after places to live, and we know there’s going to be a huge amount of demand for the new homes that we’re now building.”
New homes are now available at The Cornfields in Yarm from £325,950. For further information, please visit www. bankshomes.co.uk/developments/thecornfields or call 0191 378 6205.
