As 2025 draws to a close, it's hard not to feel a mix of pride, relief and renewed ambition. This year has been one of real momentum for The Bigger Scene, a large format print and exhibitions company. A year where challenges turned into stepping stones for what's next.
Key Achievements
This year’s biggest wins have been all about growth, not just in size, but in confidence and capability. We’ve taken on new clients across different sectors, helping more brands share stories that really connect. We also fine-tuned how we work, brought in some great new creative tools, and strengthened our partnerships, which has made everything run more smoothly.
Inside the business, we’ve focused a lot on developing our people and keeping our culture strong. Everyone’s had the space and support to do their best work, and that’s really shown in the creativity and energy coming through in everything we do.
Did Everything Go According to Plan?
Not exactly but that’s what keeps things interesting. Plans give us direction, but the real skill lies in adapting when things change. Some projects took unexpected turns, and a few deadlines pushed us to our limits, but we learned a lot along the way. This year reminded us that flexibility is just as important as focus. After all, we’re not defined by how we act when everything goes smoothly, but by how we respond when it doesn’t.
Proudest Moment
I’m proud of how the team embraced change and took on extra work together. Seeing team members grow in confidence has been amazing. It shows that our culture isn’t just what we talk about, it’s something we put into action every day.
Customer Growth
Our customer base grew steadily, a bit more than we expected. Even better, our relationships have grown deeper we’re now working with clients who see us as true partners, not just a service. Repeat work and referrals show we’re hitting the right balance between creativity, reliability, and results.
About the Team
The Bigger Scene team is full of practical thinkers, organisers, and doers. We’re hands-on, focused, and always looking for better ways to get things done. Everyone brings something valuable from sharp planning skills to creative problemsolving. That mindset enables us to get things sorted on time, first time, every time.
Best Business Advice of the Year
The best advice I got this year came from my daughter: “Teamwork makes the dream work.” It hit home because we’re a business built on teamwork and it’s our mantra. That simple reminder has shaped how we collaborate, hire, and support each other as we grow, keeping us focused on collective strength over individual speed.
Most Enjoyable Business Event
The highlight this year was the North East Expo at Newcastle Racecourse. It wasn’t just the connections and the interesting talks, it was bumping into new and familiar faces, and feeling the buzz of people trying new ideas and pushing things forward. That kind of energy always gives us a lift.
Personal Growth
This year taught us to be patient, in business, in leadership, and with ourselves. We learned that not every problem needs a fast solution, and that stepping back can lead to our best ideas. It’s helped us slow down and stay grounded.
