Memorabilia Museum (capturing Moments In Time)

Issue 67

Memorabilia Museum was founded by Danny Mitchell who has had an interest in memorabilia ever since his grandfather took him to his first ever football match back in 1982

He now has signed framed souvenir programmes of Keegan’s debut and last game for Newcastle, which remind him of that wonderful memory. The hobby evolved over many years and following years of research, organising celebrity events, attending conventions and hosting paid-for signing sessions with various stars, Danny created Memorabilia Museum online. Whilst there are many memorabilia companies around, this was to be different as it wanted to offer better quality to the customer so along with the general items available for sale, The Gallery was created to house a selection of rarer items which have all been beautifully framed up in such a way that they almost become art. It was even important to ensure quality images were used so having the photography done by Dan Aziz was essential as his product photography is second to none. You can contact Dan via dan@danaziz.com Memorabilia can be a fantastic gift for a loved one or create a wonderful talking point for an office or event space to attract customers. Being from Newcastle you can obviously find your Shearer signed and framed items on there, but you can also go into the Gallery and find items signed from the likes of Muhammad Ali, Fred Astaire, George Michael, Tom Hanks, Sean Connery, Star Wars and so many more, with new stock being sought constantly. The essential part of this sector is authenticity and this is where so many people go wrong because they often are lured falsely into buying an item because it comes with a certificate of authenticity, but anyone can print one off, it does not mean an item is real. It is buying from a trusted source that is the key and having the confidence that the item is genuine. Memorabilia Museum does offer a certificate with every signed item it sells but for them it is more of a final rubber stamp to give the customers confidence. The confidence Memorabilia Museum gets for all items is because a number of items are obtained personally and they also only deal with trusted companies and individuals who host private paid-for signings or auction houses who have authentication teams. One of the many beauties of memorabilia is that it can be such a unique and thoughtful gift for someone and it can also prove as a good investment for the future. It has also proved very successful for many charities over the decades and has raised tens of thousands to make a difference. Danny Mitchell, Curator of the Museum offers services that include silent auctions for charities and organisations along with a “be your broker” service which offers a search and find for memorabilia.
