Newcastle's independent brewing scene is about to get even more exciting as Full Circle Brew Co prepares to open its first-ever pub in the heart of the city.
The Newcastle-based brewery is taking over space on the first floor of Fenwick Newcastle, with the new venue due to open in October 2026.
For Full Circle, it marks another major step in a journey that began with a small brewing setup before the business moved to Hoults Yard in Newcastle in 2019. From there, the brewery has grown into an established independent producer, supplying its beers across the UK and exporting internationally.
“Opening our first pub was always something we’d plan to do once we’d become a fully established brewer in the North East,” said Full Circle founder Ben Cleary. “The fact that it’s going to be in the Newcastle Fenwick store is something we’re really excited about because we’re a local brewer and we’re going to be part of what really is a North East institution. Full Circle at Fenwick will feature ten taps and two cask ale lines, giving customers the chance to enjoy Full Circle favourites alongside seasonal beers, collaborations and beers from other independent breweries. The venue will also host tap takeovers, meaning there should always be something different to discover. We’re also delighted to be working with the Newcastle street-food favourite Peckin’ Order who’ll be serving fried chicken and smash burgers alongside the beer.”
So, what does Full Circle actually brew? The answer is a pretty broad range of modern craft beers…you’ve probably seen them in some of your local supermarkets. Its core line-up includes Looper IPA, Repeater Session IPA, Hoop glutenfree American Pale Ale, Rotator New England Pale Ale, Dark Horse gluten-free Stout and Meridian Pilsner, alongside a constantly changing selection of seasonal beers, collaborations and experimental brews.
Looper IPA is arguably the brewery’s best-known beer having picked up gold awards at SIBA BeerX, as well as further golds at the Asia Beer Awards and FHA Beer Awards.
Full Circle is also leaving the North East. Don’t panic…it’s because the brewer is now featured on trains operated nationally by Lumo with a new Lumo-branded Session IPA. In other words, we’re not keeping Full Circle to ourselves… we’re allowing passengers travelling to and from Newcastle to try another way to sample a taste of the city’s independent brewing scene.
Full Circle already has a brilliant home for beer lovers at its brewery and taproom in Hoults Yard, Newcastle.
“Our Hoults Yard taproom is much more than somewhere to grab a quick pint,” adds Ben. “We’re an increasingly popular, and a very different venue for business meetings. As well as our numerous Full Circle beers, guest beers, spirits, wine and cocktails, we have a kitchen which serves Neapolitan-style pizza made in a wood-fired oven. The main taproom can accommodate up to 100 people, while the Snug provides a more intimate space for groups of up to 60. There is also the Tank Room for smaller meetings and gatherings. As well as corporate events, we’re available for private hire, parties, and we’ve even become a unique wedding venue.”
So, whether you fancy dropping in for a pint after work, organising a full-blown company event, celebrating a birthday or looking for somewhere a little different for a wedding, Full Circle has plenty of options.
With its brewery and taproom at Hoults Yard, its new Fenwick city-centre pub and its growing relationship with Lumo, Full Circle is putting Newcastle craft beer firmly on the map…one pint at a time.
