A rural prep school near Newcastle has won a prestigious national award.
Mowden Hall School in Stocksfield, Northumberland, is delighted to have been named Independent Prep School of the Year at the Independent Schools of the Year 2025 Awards.

The winners were announced at a ceremony at The Law Society in London on Tuesday 14 October. When announcing the award, the judges commended Mowden Hall for its strong commitment to outdoor learning, academic breadth, and the nurturing of confident, curious, and kind young people.
