Training The Next Wave Of Wellbeing Legends

Issue 90

Forget quick-fixes, the awardwinning workplace wellbeing firm, Key Wellbeing is helping organisations to make positive changes that last, starting with the upskilling of business owners, HR and management teams.

Along with their in-house expertise and existing army of industry experts, the innovative team has recently joined forces with Teesside University and multidisciplinary law firm, Savage Silk to expand their training offering.

From tailored training on an employer’s legal duty of care to understanding the importance of workplace wellbeing for SME owners, Co-Founder and Commercial Director of Key Wellbeing, Marie Ranson, said: “we’re really excited to be collaborating with some stellar organisations to support workplaces in a much more robust way, particularly through the process of change management and adapting to the new way of working that we’re all stepping into.

From conversations with clients and others, we’re finding that leaders, HR and middlemanagement teams know that they should be doing more to support the wellbeing of their people, yet many either have no idea how to go about it, or aren’t clear on what their legal duty of care really entails.

We’re on a mission to bridge that skills gap and ultimately help organisations to achieve their wellbeing strategy – it’s no good having a kickass strategy on paper, the change makers within the company need to know how to successfully put it into action.”

The startup launched its new training offering with Savage Silk last month with an exclusive workshop at Teesside International Airport’s SkyBar on workplace stress and duty of care, for HR leaders from some of the North East’s leading organisations including AV Dawson, MAP Group and Tekmar.

The full training workshop series is now available for organisations across the region to book including tailored in-house sessions on mental health, sickness absence, men’s mental health, menopause support and more.

Simultaneously, Key Wellbeing’s very own Marie Ranson is working hard behind the scenes with Teesside University on the development of a Masterclass for small to medium business owners set to launch this month.

The training will help SME owners to establish their own successful workplace wellbeing strategy, along with the development of knowledge and tools to motivate themselves and others to achieve top performance.

Not only that, the go-getting team has also partnered with the forward-thinking financial education and advice company, New World Financial Group to roll out a series of employeefocussed workshops over the coming months around navigating the current cost-of-living crisis and staying financially well.

Co-founder and Creative Director, Melissa Armstrong added: “We’re proud that the likes of Baltic Apprenticeships, DePuy Syntheses and High Tide Foundation have already chosen us to deliver essential wellbeing training to their workforce and we can’t wait to help even more organisations to upskill staff, equip employees with the tools and techniques to navigate life’s challenges and ultimately create happier, healthier legally-abiding workplaces.”
