Offering process serving, investigation and enforcement solutions to the debt, legal, property management and local authority sectors.
In 2007, Simon Darby set up SD Legal Services. He’d worked as a police officer and, after always wanting to run his own business, moved into the private enforcement industry and gained extensive experience in all aspects of Bailiff and High Court Enforcement work.
“My experience in policing and enforcement led naturally into legal support services such as process serving, people tracing, investigations, property visits and commercial forfeitures, and I’m proud to say that our reputation now spreads beyond the North East to the rest of the country as well as internationally,” said Simon.” We’ve built a strong reputation within the enforcement and legal services sector which sees us work closely with almost every law firm in the region…and word is spreading…with the number one aim being to help businesses, law firms, property companies and public sector organisations manage legal processes efficiently.”
Simon rebranded his business in 2017 and has seen growth in terms of cases and revenue every year. He now works on approximately 40 cases per day. The turnover of SD Legal Services has gone from £50,000 to £600,000. A staggering rate of success which this year is running at 30% higher than this time last year.
But there is one surprising element about SD Legal Services.
When you call or email his office, you’ll either speak directly to or receive an email from Simon. He is…and always will be…your first and only point of contact. Once you’ve explained precisely what sort of service you require, Simon will then put wheels into motion.
“Dealing with process serving, investigation and enforcement, is a sensitive topic, invariably highly confidential and often very sensitive to all parties. It can also be time sensitive. That is why clients deal with me and nobody else. Once I have the details of what is required, I contact my network of agents around the region and beyond who can get the job done.”
Hundreds of businesses…law firms, local authorities, government-related organisations, housing associations, debt recovery and property management firms… rely on SD Legal Services to serve legal documents quickly and accurately, trace individuals or debtors, carry out property visits and provide pre-litigation reporting. These services are valuable for any business or organisation.
As one of his clients mentions on his website… “I have used and will continue to use Simon Darby as the go to person in insolvency matters for extremely fast personal service of statutory demands and petitions and other court documents as well as tracing the whereabouts of debtors. He is always available and willing to go the extra mile to help. There are no forms to complete, and a simple email gets the job up and running quickly.”
As SD Legal Services approaches its 20th year, the business continues to grow. Most of Simon’s work is in the North East region, but he’s now increasingly busy in other parts of the UK, especially the London area. He’s also working extensively abroad because when it comes to something like people tracing or settling debt, the tentacles can spread far and wide.
Although the line of business in which Simon works is always changing…one thing hasn’t changed. Simon is based in Guisborough…he’s proud to live in the town which has been his home for 53 years.
If your firm or organisation needs help, the best idea is to email Simon on sdlegalservices@btinternet.com and he will reply quickly to your request, alternatively you can ring him on 07832238441.
As another of his clients said…
“I have trust in SD Legal Services getting the job done and getting the job done right.”
Simon generally works approx. 70 hours a week, but when he isn’t working, he has a passion for supercars and spending as much time in his happy place, a villa in Tala, Paphos.
