Senior investors, developers, retailers and operators from across the world will gather in Newcastle this September
Newcastle will be in the global spotlight this September as it hosts RLI Connect Global 2026, bringing the retail and investment industry’s most influential decision-makers to the city.
Taking place at St James’ Park from 21st -24th September, the four-day programme will welcome senior leaders from across Europe, the GCC, Asia and the Americas to forge international partnerships and explore new commercial opportunities.
Newcastle was selected in recognition of its growing international profile, vibrant city centre and status as a major player in the retail market. The event will put Newcastle directly in front of an influential global business audience while showcasing its offer to leaders shaping the future of destination placemaking.
Discussions will examine the forces reshaping global destinations, from international investment and expansion to experiential retail and the growing convergence of retail, culture, sport and entertainment.
An exciting speaker lineup includes Caroline James, Managing Director of Utilita Arena, Alison Rehill-Erguven, CEO of Cenomi Centers; Michelle Percy, CEO of Develop North PLC; Timothy Jones, Senior Vice President of Retail at Sands Retail; Sebastian Suhl, CEO of END. Clothing; Barry Cox, Chief Investment Officer at Pradera; and H.H. Princess Noura Bint Faisal Al Saud, CEO of JAY3LLE.
The programme will also feature structured Deal-Making meetings on 23rd September, followed by a Retail Safari on 24th September showcasing the region’s evolving retail, leisure and destination offer, including Eldon Square and Metrocentre, as well as a finale dinner at Freight Island.
