KP Simpson, Certified Public Accountants based in Jarrow, have recently announced their partnership with the Chloe & Liam Forever Together Trust to inspire others to follow their dreams and achieve their goals in performing arts and sport.
The Trust was set up in September 2017 following the tragic Manchester bombings by Lisa & Mark Rutherford and Caroline Curry, the parents of Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry, who sadly lost their lives in the atrocious attack.
By setting up the Trust, they want to honour their children by supporting things they truly had a passion for. They hope to be able to help others for such things as auditions, exams, coaching qualifications and travel expenses to name but a few.
Andrew Potts, director of KP Simpson has been a family friend of Caroline’s for many years and after supporting the Trust by doing their accounts, has recently agreed to join the Board of Trustees after providing valuable advice and input during recent meetings.
Further to this, Andy extended his kindness by way of donating part of his monthly marketing budget to the Trust so they can continue to grow and expand without using valuable funds to pay for this.
Caroline Curry said: “Andy has been a family friend for years, so his support firstly as a friend and then to the trust has been amazing. We seriously can’t thank him enough for everything he has done and to now donate part of his budget to us is just overwhelming.”
The Trust are now working with JAM Marketing (UK) Limited to help raise awareness and vital funds to keep the Trust going. They have been overwhelmed so far by the support they’ve had from the local community: “We’ve been very lucky and have had a constant stream of people approaching us to help. I think the tragic event was something that touched the hearts of many and they just want to do their bit.
“We have monthly events from golf days to charity balls and raffles which all help towards the funds needed to continue.” said Lisa.
The next event they have coming up is a ball at the Hilton, Newcastle Gateshead on June 22nd 2018 which is set to be a fantastic evening of fundraising with a performance from Britain’s Got Talent 2014 winners, Collabro.
