Bergen Logistics, part of Elanders Group, has appointed a supply chain operations manager to drive forward its rapidly growing, international supply chain solutions business, based on North Tyneside.
Mark Lancaster will manage the day-to-day operation at Bergen Logistics which is a £4.6 million, 48,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art fulfilment facility on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate which opened 12 months ago.
Bergen Logistics, which has presence across the UK, EU, Asia and USA, provides fulfilment services for a range of products including clothing, footwear, handbags, accessories and cosmetics. As well as flexible and agile solutions for complex supply chains, it provides value-add in-house services such as print and packaging resources.
Supply chain operations manager, Mark Lancaster, has 18 years’ experience and has worked in two of the big three retailers in logistics and supply chain including one of the largest pharmaceutical delivery businesses in Europe.
He said of his appointment: “I will be working with our dedicated team to enhance our operations and deliver exceptional results. Our goal is not just to meet industry standards, but to set them, striving for recognition as a ‘best in class’ operation.
