A New Look For Local Accountants

Issue 90

A North East accountancy business has recently undergone a host of changes including accountancy buyouts, two brand-new partners as well as a complete re-brand of their company.

With over a decade of experience and a ‘no grey suits here’ promise, Andrew Potts, founder of KP Simpson Certified Public Accountants, based in Jarrow and South Shields and the team have seen a rapid growth in their business over the last 12 months.

Recently, KP Simpson purchased two accountancy practices in South Shields, namely GR Stenton & Co and Steven Beavers & Co. The two practices have been in business for over 30 years and were purchased as part of KP’s growth plans.

In addition to the take-over of the two practices, KP Simpson now have a new office in Harton Village in South Shields, and have retained the staff and clients from both GR Stenton & Co and Steven Beavers & Co.

Managing Director Andrew Potts said “Our aim is to offer each and every client the same level of skill, knowledge, and advice that we always have, as well as build on a strong customer service ethic to maintain standards and improve relationships with all our clients, no matter how big or small. “Our goal is to make you successful, which in turn makes us successful.”

Along with the purchase of the two accountancy businesses, Alex Hudson and Dawn Stott, former employees of KP Simpson have now become equal partners, along with Andrew Potts and co-owners within the firm.

Dawn Stott, partner in the firm said: “It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for us all at KP Simpson over the last few months, with the take-overs, becoming a partner, our re-brand and opening another office, but we love to stay busy and supporting our clients is what we do best. We’re very much looking forward to the future of KP Simpson and our 30-strong workforce are supporting us all the way!”

Alex Hudson, partner in the firms concluded: “I’m delighted to be made partner, along with Dawn. There are some exciting times ahead and I am proud to be part of such a growing business.”
