The multi award winning Hamilton strode into Sunderland Empire and for over 2 hours held a capacity audience spellbound.
The story narrates Alexander Hamiltons life across 2 acts taking him from his orphan childhood through to his escape to New York City.
Encapsulating a fascinating life the show details his involvement in the American Revolutionary War, working as an aide to George Washington, his marriage to Eliza Schulyer and his career as a lawyer and secretary of the Treasury.
Marley Fenton is mesmeric in the title role with Billy Nevers also superb as Aaron Burr, the main narrator of the show.
Ably supported by an amazing ensemble cast and breathtaking musical score this is live theatre at its very finest.
