Growth Built On Strong Foundations

Issue 128

Continued growth is something every business works towards, but for MES Construction, growth has always been about more than simply taking on more projects. It is about building the right team, maintaining high standards and ensuring the business has the skills and experience needed to support its clients as it develops.

Based in Sunderland, MES Construction has continued to expand its workload across renovations, new-build developments and wider construction projects, creating a growing demand for skilled people to join the team.

The company’s approach has remained consistent throughout this growth: deliver quality workmanship, communicate effectively and build long-term relationships with clients. As the number and scale of projects increase, investing in the workforce is an important part of ensuring those standards are maintained.

MES Construction is now recruiting for three full-time positions: a General Skilled Labourer, Roofer and Plasterer.

The General Skilled Labourer will work across both renovation and new-build projects, supporting the wider team across a varied range of works. The company is also looking for an experienced Roofer to undertake new roofs, extensions and repairs, alongside a full-time Plasterer, with experience in boarding and rendering preferred.

While experience and technical ability are important, MES Construction is equally focused on finding people with the right approach.

Construction projects rely on different trades working together, often across several stages of a build. The successful candidates will therefore need to be comfortable working alongside and supporting other trades when required, with teamwork, reliability and pride in the finished result all playing an important role.

For MES Construction, recruitment is not simply about filling vacancies. It is an investment in the next stage of the company’s development.

As the business continues to secure new work and strengthen its presence within the construction industry, expanding the team will provide additional capacity while helping MES continue delivering the standards its clients expect.

Rates of pay will be discussed based on experience, with company vans also available for the right candidates.

For those looking for their next opportunity within a growing construction company, MES Construction would be pleased to hear from experienced applicants interested in becoming part of the team.
