Sintons Announces St Oswald's Hospice As New Charity Partner For 2026-2028

Issue 125

Following a record-breaking two years of fundraising for The Percy Hedley Foundation, Sintons is proud to announce that St Oswald's Hospice has been selected by our colleagues to be our firm-wide charity partner for the next two years.

The partnership comes as we conclude our most successful CSR cycle to date, having raised over £23,000 for Percy Hedley through a series of ambitious challenges, from the “10 Peaks” trek in the Lake District to our historic charity golf days at Close House.

St Oswald’s Hospice is a cornerstone of the North East community, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to babies, children, young adults, and adults. Their work goes beyond medical care, offering family support, bereavement services, and a “home-from-home” environment for those navigating life-limiting conditions.

Sintons has committed to a fundraising target of over £20,000 during this new two-year cycle. These funds will directly support the Hospice’s vital services, ensuring they can continue to provide their expert care free of charge to those who need it most.

David Pritchard, Head of Marketing and Business Development and Chair of Sintons’ CSR Committee, commented: “Choosing a new charity is always a significant moment for the firm. After the incredible energy our team put into supporting The Percy Hedley Foundation, we wanted to ensure our next partner was an organisation that resonated deeply with our people and our region.

St Oswald’s Hospice is an institution that has touched the lives of so many families across the North East. Their dedication to dignity and care is unparalleled, and we are incredibly proud to be standing alongside them for the next two years. Our goal is to raise over £20,000 and knowing the competitive and compassionate spirit of the team here at Sintons, I have no doubt we will hit the ground running to achieve and hopefully surpass that target.”

Jane Hogan, Head of Fundraising at St Oswald’s Hospice, said: “We are delighted to have the support of Sintons as their Charity of the Year partner for the next two years. 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of St Oswald’s Hospice, and the fact that we are still here today, providing care and support free of charge to our local community, is only possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Partnerships with businesses like Sintons enable us to continue our vital work, and every penny they raise will help keep our doors open for those who need us most. We look forward to working together and making a meaningful difference to the lives of local people.”
