Contract Is Secured At Beatlie Asn School Campus,

Castle Building Services, is continuing to build on its impressive portfolio in the education sector, with a secured contract to provide full mechanical, electrical and public health services at Beatlie ASN School Campus, Livingston, Scotland.

The company, which employs 50 staff in Scotland, with offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, was appointed by main contractor, Morrison Construction.

Castle Building Services will be supplying full mechanical, electrical and public health services including ventilation, comfort cooling, heating, domestics, drainage, life safety systems, internal and external lighting, lighting protection and earthing, security and data, sound and audio visual and all external services.

West Lothian’s Beatlie school is to move from its 1960s home to a new purpose-built campus.

The £14 million new build has been agreed by West Lothian Council’s Education Executive and is being delivered by Hub South East.

Beatlie school provides specialist education for pupils aged 3 to 18 with severe and complex educational needs and profound medical needs.

The new purpose-built facility will be a centre of excellence for children and young people, an NHS Child Development Centre is also located within the Beatlie school campus, providing assessment and support facilities for families across West Lothian.

The school will include a range of facilities including a life skills area, hydrotherapy pool, a multi-purpose hall and sensory garden. In addition, the installation of state-of-the art assistive technology products will help facilitate greater independence for those with mobility issues.

Castle Building Services has been appointed onto a number of specialist education projects via Morrison Construction, most recently completing Lockhart Campus, in Ardrossan, which provides an exceptional learning environment for pupils who require additional support across their educational journey.  

The company, via Morrison Construction, has also recently completed the first stage of a £60 million education project in Winchburgh, West Lothian.

It is part of West Lothian Council’s biggest ever investment in education and includes the build of two secondary schools and a primary school, as well as a sport and wellbeing hub in Winchburgh.
