Following a recent audit from the British Fluid Power Association, Hydraulic & Offshore Supplies (HOS) are delighted to have once again passed a nationally recognised industry-leading safety scheme.
The Approved Hose Assemblies scheme, which was established in 1995 by the British Fluid Power Association, is now the leading industry accreditation scheme for hose manufacturing, assembly, distribution and fitting. It sets a formal and credible standard for the assembly, storage and supply of hose across all sectors.
HOS successfully passed their inspection following a detailed audit from a BFPA representative, while they were successfully able to demonstrate their adherence to all current legislation and show their commitment to hydraulic hose safety, they also received zero non-conformities.
HOS, who have been based on Sunderland’s riverside for over 30 years and employ eight members of staff, provide services to the oil, gas, marine and renewable sectors, helping businesses both nationally and internationally. Their products include hydraulic hose, pipeline materials and instrumentation with their service offering covering installation, servicing and hire.
The company, which became part of the R&G Group of companies in 2022, have experienced considerable growth in recent months with large contract wins, investment in their sales & marketing activity and with plans to grow their workforce in the coming months, they’re looking forward to another successful year.
Managing director of HOS, Don Fenwick, was delighted with the results of the inspection, commenting ‘Our ongoing accreditation to the BFPA approved hose assemblies scheme shows our dedication and commitment to quality. Our team continuously work to ensure our clients receive a first-class service and I’m delighted this has been acknowledged with our continued certification.
Having been based in the north east region for over 30 years, our business initially focused on providing first-class services to the ship repair, ship management and oil and gas industries, however, with huge developments and changes to the energy sector, we are now proud to be an integral part of the automotive, renewable and manufacturing supply chain.
Becoming part of the R&G Group of companies last year was a pivotal moment for us, it has given us the opportunity to expand our product and service offering and provided further opportunities for our growth.
Recent contract wins and investment in the business has resulted in us actively recruiting further members of staff and with many activities planned for 2023, we’re looking forward to growing our team and expanding our range of installation, servicing and maintenance activities throughout the UK and beyond.”
