Linden Hall Golf and Country Club is only a 30 minute drive from Newcastle...but it's like a different world.
Not only is Linden Hall situated in one of Northumberland’s most picturesque villages…Longhorsley…but it is one of those places where you are certain to have a relaxing time, enjoying some award winning dining and the chance to play a round of golf on one of the region’s top courses or simply chill in the hotel’s spa. Or perhaps you’d rather just stroll in the 450 acres of stunning grounds. Choices; choices. And of course, in these COVID-19 times, it’s important to add something else to the list. Safety. “It’s been a hugely difficult time for everyone in the hospitality industry and we’ve been no different”, said General Manager, Jeff Hodgson. “We’ve been closed…reopened….closed again… reopened again and, I’m delighted to say, that as we speak, Linden Hall is currently at fully capacity. Every bedroom is occupied; the spa and golf course are really busy and we’re already staging weddings…many of which are finally taking place after having to be rearranged on several occasions. Our conference and businessmeeting facilities are also busy. The entire team here at Linden Hall have been absolutely magnificent in what have been and still are, extremely trying times, but the hard work means that guests can stay and dine here in total confidence knowing that every precaution has been taken to keep them safe.” They’re even appointing new team members. For example a new executive head chef, Jason Carty, has recently arrived. With almost 35 years in the industry working at top restaurants and hotels in Paris, London and here in the North East, he knows how to make a kitchen tick and, despite having a reduced kitchen staff, has been able to maintain Linden Hall’s renowned à la carte menu. The Dobson Restaurant has a prestigious AA Rosette. If you prefer more casual dining then pop into the lounge bar area. Everything is open. The 65 staff have not only got the hotel, golf course and spa with its 12 metre swimming pool fully up and running, but there’s also the Linden Tree pub which offers a wide selection of food and drink. Oh and don’t forget the snooker table. The 300 seat conference centre and meeting rooms are also ready and raring for companies who are looking to give their business the wow factor. In other words, if you are looking for a weekend break or just an overnight stay, or just fancy some fine dining, a round of golf or a relaxing session in the spa, then Linden Hall Golf and Country Club is your faraway destination of choice…that’s only 20 miles from the centre of Newcastle.
