Protect Your Dog And A Donation Will Be Made

Issue 68

A local, dog loving, aerial and CCTV specialist has made a pledge to help people in the North East protect their pups from strangers, as more people go back to work and leave the dogs home alone all day.

ATV Aerial and Satellite Company Ltd is offering some extremely competitive prices on home CCTV systems, that cover both internal and external property areas, to dog owners. And for every purchase they will make a donation to DogHorn, a charity set up to stop and help people prevent dog theft. With Nelson as the company’s mascot, it is very clear that the family run business has it heart in the right place. The latest offer includes 4K cameras that can be accessed from digital devices such as phones and ipads, meaning that pup parents can keep a close eye on their furry babies whilst away from the home. Grant Smith, who works with son Blaine, and wife Jayne who runs the office, said: “As lockdown eases and people return to work, and dare we say the pub, then many dogs and puppies who are used to having company are being left home alone. This will cause the owners some stress, not least for fear of break ins, stealing puppies or for damage caused to the house. With a CCTV system you can log in via an app and check that all is well, whenever you want. It also acts as a great deterrent, as no thief actually wants to be caught on camera with footage.” Prices for the system, which can cover as many rooms as required, and the front and back of the house, are currently discounted for dog owners. The cameras are discreet, cause no mess when installed and bring huge peace of mind. Grant concluded: “If a crime is committed then police will act quicker if there is CCTV, and the fact that you can check the property yourself whilst away or whilst you have been in bed, can really help. The CCTV will also protect cars and property outside. “We have chosen to support Doghorn as they are a charity launched following the increase in dog thefts, based in the Northumberland coastline. The founders have funded the set up of the charity themselves, and they aim to create a community where everyone is looking out for others dogs, akin to an active neighbourhood watch, to stamp out dog theft in our area and across the UK! From each CCTV sale to a dog owner, we will donate a minimum of £10 to the cause.”
